field state on Friday and Saturday at UW-La Crosse. I was there on Saturday
- Kayla Barnes was our employee there on Friday. The Dodgeville-Mineral
Point girls team was the overall winner in Division 2 by the skin of their
teeth over neighboring Mount Horeb. That, coupled with Cuba City winning
Division 3, was a pretty good representation of the southern Wisconsin area!
The Dodgeville-Mineral Point team had to score 13 points in the final two
events to win it and they did just that, winning the final event - 4x400 relay!

After Mount Horeb received their runner-up trophy and Dodge-Point was
given theirs. - photos were taken and hugs were given, I left to head home
after an extremely long day. Waiting just outside of the gate was Val Fisher,
of the Mount Horeb team, to greet me. She is the daughter of Sandy and
Terry Fisher. Sandy is the daughter of Joe and Mary Esch, Dodgeville, and
Terry runs the Dodgeville office of Esch Insurance. That was really special
that she waited to see me!

Saturday began with the Iowa County Dairy Breakfast at the Nelson farm
located between Ridgeway and Arena. That was a great time from 6:30 to
8:00 (that I was able to be there) with the breakfast group of myself, Terry
Carroll, Bob Kratochwill and Dewey Christoph going and Dodgeville Chamber
Director Lynn Price making it a fivesome! There was a pretty decent
crowd for that time of the morning eating and having fun!

Barneveld seniors graduated Saturday in the last of our area graduations -
congratulations and good luck to those graduates as they take the next step
in their lives!

Monday and Tuesday of this week was state golf with the Mineral Point
team competing in Division 3 and Dodgeville's Chapin Orr as an individual
in Division 2. The weather was a little iffy on Monday, but hopefully everything
came off okay and they all did really good!

Highland was at Division 4 sectional baseball at Barneveld Tuesday. I hope
to see them at state in Appleton on June 17th!

We have a mini-Reilly Reunion coming up on Saturday, July 11 at Centennial
Park. I'm supposed to supply the meat. Boy if they only knew about
my cooking they would never have asked me to do that!

This Sunday is the first of the two Dodgeville Lions Club's Antique Show
and Flea Market of the summer at Harris Park from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. You
can find me in the concession stand most of the day. There will be pies made
by the Lioness members there too. The Lions do a lot of projects for the community,
so attending is a good way to help with their fundraising as there is
a small admission charge!
