Ohio Valley Region baseball back in Dodgeville and Sauk City for four day tournament run

Baseball fans will be able to watch some of the best players in the Ohio Valley region at Centennial Park this week.
Dodgeville's Babe Ruth program will hold three days of the Ohio Valley Regional at Centennial Park, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The first two days will be pool play with Saturday being a single elimination bracket.
There are 12 teams in the tournament which is hosted by Sauk Prairie Baseball at the Sauk City Athletic Park. Sauk Prairie has a host team which includes five Dodgeville players. The Dodgeville players are Levi Nagel, Jordan Olson, Jordan Larson, Trent Jones and Cole Sullivan.
The combined team will play all their games at Sauk City. Game times are Thursday at 2:30 pm vs Fern Creek (Western Kentucky) and 7:30 pm vs Steger (Northern Ill 2) then at 7:30 pm vs Logansport (Northern Indiana 2).
The single elimination tourney is determined by how a team finishes in their four team pool. That round starts Saturday åt both ball parks.
The tournament wraps up Sunday at Sauk City where a champion will be crowned to represent the Ohio Valley Region at the World Seried at Klamath Falls, Oregon August 8-15.

The Regional is split between two sites as a requirement for hosting is a full sized grass infield. Both Dodgeville and Sauk split the duties last year when Dodgeville was the host site.
There is an admission charge for games and a concession stand will offer "ball park" food at reasonable prices.
