I-G/Highland matmen top Bulldogs
The Panthers received four forfeits and came up with three pins enroute to the win.
Iowa-Grant/Highland coach Ryan Allen pushed a few of his wrestlers up one weight in the match.
"Sawyer (Sarbacker) went up to 113 and did a great job and Brady (Peat) was bumped up a weight and got a nice pin," the coach said.
"Brent (Rider) went up a weight and made a mistake. He can't let a guy like Salsberg get on top of him with his weight," Allen pointed out.
"That gave us a chance to give our foreign exchange student - Hannes Boyens - his first match. "We may need him down the road."
"Also, Clint (Havlik) probably should've won, but he's young and needs to be aware of his mistakes. And Clayton Kite needs to do the things that work for him - he's still learning."
