Dodgeville coach Tim Wunnicke said, "For us to win the tournament, everyone on our team had to score points and that didn't happen. To start off, Max (Miller) had a medical problem and couldn't wrestle. We needed him, Noah (Durst) and Andrew (Evenson) to win in the first round. I really felt all three would be moving on."
"Wilson is a good wrestler - he just has to believe in himself and stay off his back. All in all, though as a team, we wrestled pretty well," he added. "Tyler (Wunnicke) is getting back to himself after his injury kept him out most of the season. Jack (Schickel) always gives it his all - he doesn't quit. Payton (Calvert) is really coming on and settling in at 220 and Brady - well he's Brady. I don't think he was out there even two minutes today. And Phelan is a tough freshman."
"Then Jordan May is another one who doesn't quit - he's always fighting ot there. Also, Shelby (Jones) - you've got to hand it to him taking on guys a lot heavier than he is because he wants to compete and get better," Wunnicke said.
