Anderson slams Panthers past Bulldogs
They were thundering dunks, the kind that causes the opponent to shake their heads and ask themselves what can you do?
"Those dunks gave us energy," said coach Toby Tripalin.
The junior guard had 10 points the first half, 12 the second and made all four of his free throws.
But, it was a 6'4" junior who has had his court time limited this season that provided eight points to emerge as the second scoring leader for the Panthers. Jack Reeves was sent in the game when there was some foul problems and played so well Tripalin had problems wanting to take him out.
"Jack's minutes were critical for our success," said Tripalin. "He got into the game and seized the opportunity. He played very well."
Then there was Trent Milliken who led the defense with a shut-down performance on Boscobel's scoring leader Ryan Latham. Milliken (6'4") clamped down on Latham (6'5") and him to six points.
"Lathan clobbered us last time we played but Trent really shut him down," Tripalin said. "He did a heck of a job on him."
Tripalin also felt the defense continued to perform the roles well.
"Everything is starting to click," he said.
Tripalin was also able to give playing time to his entire team.
"We were up 30 in the fourth quarter and won by 21," he said. "I thought everyone played really well."
