Dodgers whip Prairie on the mat

Dodgeville's young team, with nine freshman competing, won some close matches and handled Prairie du Chien 45-15 Friday night in SWC action.
It was Senior Night for the Dodgers with lone senior wrestler Tyler Wunnicke and manager Halle McCarthy being recognized before wresting began. The Dodgers put nine freshman out on the mat against the Blackhawks.
"Having Tyler back brings more to our mid weights," said Dodger coach Tim Wunnicke. "Tonight a lot of our better kids didn't get a chance to wrestle and those who did wrestled well - one being Max (Miller), who wrestled his heart out even though he lost. Jack (Shickel) beat a good kid and Noah (Durst) wrestled a good kid and beat him. Zach Weber had a nice win - in fact everybody stepped up tonight. I feel we're coming into our own at the time we're getting ready for the CLASH then regionals and that's what we want."
