Cassville beats Highland zone

Highland's boys basketball team had their most balanced scoring of the season Saturday at UW-Platteville in the Six Rivers Challenge.
Unfortunately it wasn't enough as they dropped a 70-60 decision to Cassville.
Alex Michek led the Cards with 19 points with JR Linscheid adding 18 and Nate Michek 17.
"The Comets tried to keep a check on JR in the second half when they went to a box in one on him," said Highland coach Mitchell Dorshorts.
"They held him to seven points in the second, but Nate and Alex both stepped up tonight."
The coach said he didn't feel his team played very good in the second half. They led 29-28 at halftime.
"Casssville got a lot of layups and easy buckets in the second half. They also were 18/21 at the line too," he added. "We just couldn't keep up with them."
Cassville's Dillon Johl scored 30 points with Colton Reynolds hitting 24.
"Johl is a driver. He just knifed through our zone," Dorshorst said.
