Fennimore too much for Highland

Highland trailed 5-0 in the first minute of the game and never really recovered in losing a 59-49 non-conference girls basketball game to Fennimore Monday night.
Lady Golden Eagle senior Cheyanne Udelhoven got those first five points and went on to lead all scorers on the night with 23.
"She is a good player," said Highland coach Josh Tarrell. "But tonight our defense just didn't show up. It had been our strong point all year too. We came out of the gate flat and struggled in the first half."
Highland kept fighting back, but a 12-0 run by Fennimore helped them to a 33-22 halftime lead.
Cardinals Jessica Kosharek and Kylie Esser scored 19 and 14 points to lead their offense.
"Offense wasn't our trouble tonight as it has been so far this season," Tarrell said. "Scoring about 50 points is actually where we want to be. We did get nice scoring from Jessica and Kylie."
The Cardinals host Shullsburg Thursday.
