Enjoy the fall colors

By Brooke Bechen-bbechen@thedodgevillechronicle.com

Those driving in the countryside this past weekend might have noticed the colors are beginning to change and the seasons are delicately switching from summer to fall. Amongst the green foliage, one might begin to notice a couple oranges, reds and yellows popping through.
With fall being my favorite season, I want to take the next following weeks to practice my photography, hopefully getting out at the perfect times to capture some beautiful colors that will shortly be showcased across the county. I encourage those with a photographic eye to do the same!
For those who also happen to favor fall and all its fall colors, you might want to check out the following website: travelwisconsin.com/fall-color-report.
At the website listed above, you can check areas all over the state and see when their estimated week of peak color will be. Last I checked Tuesday afternoon, Dodgeville's estimated week of peak colors will be the third week of October.
In Mineral Point, the colors may come sooner with their estimated week of peak being the fourth week of September, this week!
The website also provides those visiting a percentage of color that is currently showcasing itself at the moment and events that are happening in surrounding communities.
Scan nearby counties to see how their colors are changing and be sure to enjoy! As most of us know and dread, after fall comes winter.
Have a colorful tree in your yard or notice a beautiful tree changing color in your community? The Chronicle would welcome photographs of the season by email at news@thedodgevillechronicle.com.
