Eagles get the sweep with Black Hawk
Two of the three games the Eagles won were kind that momentum was on their side. The middle game was close but the Eagles fought hard enough to overcome what the Lady Warriors threw at them.
Scores were 25-17, 25-20 and 25-16.
"We came out ready," coach Lacy Reeson said. "We had a little letdown in the second game but we got right back in it and pulled off the win."
The coach said the girls had been working on their serving and put it into use against the Lady Warriors.
"They have been working jump serves and hitting their zone," Reeson said. "They did a pretty good job of it tonight."
Rachel Slaney had eight kills and four aces for the Eagles. Mia Whitish registered five blocks and Jenna Wright seven digs.
Kelsee Fargo had 10 assists and Sarah Cannoy eight.
Taylor Owens had four aces.
The Eagles have a bye Thursday then get back to conference action Tuesday at Monticello. The Lady Ponies lead the league and are undefeated, though Argyle took them to five games Tuesday.
