Eagles put fundamentals to work in sweep
The Eagles won 25-22, 25-10 and 25-20.
The win allowed Eagles coach Lacey Reeson to do some experimentation with different line-ups and give her bench some playing time.
The strategy paid off.
"It was great to play a game where every girl was able to contribute on the floor," Reeson said. "We tried new rotations during the game, and the girls did a great job of communicating and working together to make each rotation successful. "
Rachel Slaney registered five kills to lead the Eagles at the net. Taylor Owens had 11 aces and Sarah Cannoy added seven. Cannoy had nine assists and Kelsee Fargo seven.
Abigail Sutter led the Eagles in digs with four.
"It was great to see how well the girls adapted to changes and made the necessary accommodations when they were playing in different rotations or next to players they don't typically play next to," Reeson added. " It was wonderful how some of the more experienced players step up to be true leaders for the girls that don't get as much playing time. They really do watch out for one another."
