Edgewood too much for Dodgers

Edgewood was just too much for Dodgeville's volletball team to handle Tuesday night in a first round D2 contest.
The Crusaders won in three games - 25-19, 25-11, 25-22.
"We were in both the first and third games. I don't know what happened in game two. Usually we struggle in the first one," said Dodger coach Shelby Rideout.
"We had the lead a couple times in games one and three, but we struggled to keep it." she said. "I liked the way we came out with energy and attitude. That was fantastic. We struggled at the net and on defense at times. That made a difference in the last few points of each game."
"In the second game we got down on ourselves and you can't do that against a team like Edgewood," she pinted out.
"For the most part, however, we played pretty well," she concluded.
On the night, Taylor Stanek led in kills with 6 with Katie Valeria blocking 2 shots. Alexa Bohnsack aced one serve while Maddie Stumpf and Kara Crowley had 9 and 8 assists.
