Barneveld's Carson Carmody will officially close out his high school career at the highest level this weekend.
He is a member of the South All-Star Team which will play a round robin tournament at EJ Sneider Field in OshKosh.
Carmody earned first team all-district and third team all-state honors as a catcher. He has committed to Madison College where he will play for Mike Davenport and the Wolfpack.
Other Barneveld players honored were infielder Dustin Hodgson and DH/U Cole Breuer who made second team all district.
Mineral Point's Tarek Oellerich was also a second team all-district infielder.
Honorable mention all-district honors went to Andrew Wolfe and Austin Yager of Highland and Drew Schliem of Pecatonica.
All-district academic honors went to Tyler Hodgson and Drew Schliem of Pecatonica, Blake Bomkamp and Chad Herbst, Highland, Cole Breuer of Barneveld, Tim Knoll of River Valley and Sy Staver of Mineral Point.
