Oh, the Knights won 16-6 in a seven inning game ended by the 10-run rule. It's a good thing it ended in seven. There were so many walks that it probably wouldn't have finished until 6:00 the way it was going.

Friday night and Saturday was the 67th Betty Hayes School of Dance Recital. It's a great place to hold it - at the Richland Center School Auditorium. It's too bad we don't have an auditorium like that in the Dodgeville School District. Betty has been doing this for 67 years and on the program invited everyone back for her 68th year next spring. She even did a little dance with her daughter Cheryl, (see above photo) who came back from Los Angeles for the production.

Great-nieces Danielle (Roh) and McKenna and Addison (Reilly) were part of the show. They were all great in their numbers. Danielle has been doing this for several years. It's really nice to see how much she has advanced and improved in her confidence from her first year!âMcKenna is pretty fearless and Addison was a little timid! They, along with quite a few others, can be seen on our website thedodgevillechronicle.com/photos

We had tons of vintage vehicles pass through Dodgeville Friday enroute to Wisconsin Dells for a huge car show. There were people out on the streets watching every one of them go through town. There were a good amount of them stopping to check out businesses and at least making a pit stop for some food and refreshments.

If you're going through Ridgeway and glance at the Ridge Bar &âRestaurant, you won't recognize it. Kim and company have been doing a number on it. It looks more like a supper club than a bar now. It should be ready to open in a few weeks.

Be sure to check out the entertainment and update sections of this week's and next week's Chronicle. There are a bunch of things going on in the area that you surely wouldn't want to miss!

I was walking down the main street in Dodgeville heading to the Cook's Room when I spotted my late buddy's son Brian (who runs that bakery now) actually doing something constructive outside of the bakery. He was rolling the awning either up or down - I couldn't tell which. He made me promise not to mention anything about him actually working in my column, so I told him I wouldn't. So please don't read this paragraph!
