Cousin Jeanette and her husband Jack (Marty) are here for the month of July from Atlanta. Georgia. They have found a spot in Madison that will suit them just fine for the month. That gives them the chance to see a lot of friends and relatives during their stay. Jack is originally from Darlington and has relatives in that area, Platteville and Madison. They both graduated from UW-Platteville and have a lot of friends in the area. We are holding a mini-Reilly reunion Saturday, July 5th at Centennial Park in the Lions shelter closest to "Reilly Field"!

The weather forecast looks pretty good for the end of the week so that the July 4th activities shouldn't be under a threat of storms. Also, our reunion should be OK too! We have had a little rain at the right times lately.

Mineral Point definitely is the place to be on the 4th with events starting at 8 a.m. with the Historic Run, followed by the parade, lots of good food and fun with everything culminating at dusk when the fireworks show takes place.

Son Michael is supposed to be here for the reunion on the 5th barring any difficulties at the HyVee Store where he works in Muscatine, Iowa. His wife Jolisa has to work at being a cop however and won't be here.

Brother Pat is coming along pretty well with his second new knee. He's graduated from a walker to a cane and even isn't using that some of the time. Just in time for the baseball tournaments!

Speaking of those baseball tournaments, the first one will be the 15 Year olds and begins Friday, July 11th and will be at Centennial Park. I had a couple of people step up and volunteer to help in the concession stand, but a bunch more would be appreciated. I can be reached at the Chronicle 935-2331 or via cell 553-0887. We also could use help working on the fields and other parts of holding a tournament.

Great-niece Danielle (Roh) has been a great help in the concession stand during the past few home talent games. I think I'll have her cooking soon!

You know they always say that the "summer is half over when the 4th of July comes around". Gee, I didn't even think it had started yet!

Since it's getting to be baseball tournament time in Dodgeville that means I'll be doing something I dread every year. I'll have to stop at my late buddy's place and buy some of his "day old" buns!
