Dodge-Point gymnasts improve each time out
Against SW/CC, they lost 119.25 to 114.35.
Tori Palzkill won two events, took third in another and captured the All Around with a 31.975.
She won beam with a 7.75, bars at 8.375 and then took third on vault at 7.6.
Kortney Spersflage finished second on beam, a notch behind Palzkill, with a 7.925.
In junior varsity action, Dodge-Point scored 68.55 to SW/CC's 41.5.
Macy Havlik was a triple winner taking beam at 6.85, floor at 7.2 and vault with a 7.1.
Alexis Knouse was the All Around winner at 22.9. She was runner-up on bars with 3.925 and was third on both floor (6.35) and beam (6.075).
Rosie Fleming took second on floor with a 6.6 and was third in All Around at 20.675.
Claire Polinag was third on bars at 3.825.
"I have been impressed with how the girls have been working hard to improve their routines and in turn it is showing as they perform," said Dodge-Point coach Annete Anderson. "They need to keep up the good work."
Against the talented Vikings, Palzkill was the lone Dodge-Point gymnast to place in the top three. She was third on bars with an 8.7.
Mount Horeb's duo of Sarah Duff and Lauren Faust amassed scores of 9.625 and 9.1 to top her. The two led their team to a 143.5 to 119.4 win.
Faust won vault at 9.225, floor at 9.625 and beam at 9.45 to take All Around with 37.4 over Duff's 37.2.

A short handed Dodge-Point JV team dropped a 109.5-41.8 decision to eh Vikings.
Fleming took second in All Around for the Dodge-Point team.
Scores were: vault-Fleming 6.6, Polinag 6.275; bars-Fleming 2.55, Polinag 3.6; floor-Fleming 6.0, Knouse 5.975; beam-Fleming 5.325, Knouse 5.475.
"The girls did a great job," Anderson said." We had our highest score of the season so far and we had all of our Varsity girls stay on the beam - no falls! The routines keep improving which shows with the scores they have been getting. They continue to amaze me at their persistence and hard work."
