I'm still hearing very good comments about the "Off the Vine" that took place in downtown Dodgeville a couple of weeks ago on a Friday night. There is even people asking if there could be another one in the spring - maybe the end of April or first week of May. Also, others have asked for a beer tasting event as they aren't wine drinkers!

Saturday was the Halloween event in downtown Dodgeville. The youngsters had a great time playing the games that were set up and going through the haunted house. Our new photography studio (former Gregory's Jewelry building) was set up to take photos of the kids in their costumes. I saw a lot of kids with smiling faces and a lot of candy. The photo above shows a game set up by the Wild Weasel Natural Market. Justine didn't have far to go to set up as she's located just down the street to the north. Think of the amount of candy the kids will have by Thursday (today) when it is the actual Halloween day!

I welcomed classmate Vicky Nadler (and her husband Merle, of A&W fame) to the city of Dodgeville. They just relocated to within the city limits after being in the township for eons!

It's welcome to November tomorrow (Friday). You all realize what comes after November don't you - that's right December and Christmas! It's really hard to imagine Christmas being just down the road!

A huge congratulations to the Dodgeville-Mineral Point girls cross country team. They are heading to the state meet for the 18th consecutive year this Saturday - something that's really hard to imagine! The team has been going through sicknesses and injuries almost all of the season, but find a way to win. Their team could easily be compared to the that of the Green Bay Packers!

Speaking of the Packers. Did you see the cartoon in Saturday's Wisconsin State Journal of the little guy at the door trick or treating? He was all bandaged up with a bad leg and his arm in a sling. When the woman asked what he was dressed up as he replied, "a Green Bay Packer"!
