Seniors help Eagles win
Barneveld coach Brenda James thinks so.
Thursday she gave her seniors the start in the first two games of their Six Rivers East wrap-up match with Albany.
The seniors did not disappoint.
The seniors--Danielle Straubhaar, Samantha Evans, Kristen Udelhofen, Kendra Bahr, Kaitlyn Walker and Cayla Carden--came through with wins of 25-19 and 25-22.
"They played well," James said. "They battled and figured out how to get it done."
James went with the regular line-up in the third game and sent the Comets home in three--25-11.
Straubhaar had 13 service points and 19 assists for the Eagles. Evans had seven kills, two blocks, six aces and eight digs.
"We are playing really well right now," James said. "The camaraderie is good and the spirit is awesome. We are in great shape for the post season."
