The Dodgeville Knights Home Talent Baseball Team begins Sunday league play this Sunday when they host Blanchardville at 1:00 p.m. Their next league game is the following Friday at 7:30 p.m. when they host Hollandale. All home games are played at Centennial Park with a concession stand in operation. There's some pretty good baseball played at Centennial Park!

With the warming weather and wind that has been blowing the farmers should be in the fields soon (if they aren't already). One of the problems we have been having is the "cool" nights that haven't allowed the ground temperature to get as high as farmers would like. And for you city slickers, that means the yards will need to be mowed very soon!

If you haven't stopped at a couple of Dodgeville's "newer" businesses, now is the time. At Ederer's Hardware they have an outdoor greenhouse filled with stuff for your spring planting. At Wild Weasel Natural Market they usually have something special going on Friday afternoon, like wine tasting, salsa contests, etc. And, anticipation is the point behind when the Vintage shop is open next to Linens & Accents - Terry likes to be filled with new "old" stuff and isn't open every day so it makes it more urgent for you to stop in ro look around!

I had the chance to stop out at Upland Hills Health Sunday to say thank you and "see you in a different light" to one of the area's most respected doctors in Dr. Everett Lindsey. This was at a retirement reception held for him and his family. He will be truly missed as a medical practitioner in the area. Oh, and he's not going to leave us!

Someone mentioned to me about me talking about the Crubaugh connection at last week's Dodgeville prom - that there have been several other Crubaugh connections as miniature king or queen and even regular king or queen. I said I realize that and I have probably photographed them all, except for Mike himself - he was probably miniature prom king back in the early 1940s and king in the early 1950s!
