Dr. John and Shirley (Snyder) Martell will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this month. They were wed at the Methodist Church in Avoca, Wisconsin on June 27, 1953. They are the parents of three boys, Steven (Karen) of Sapphire, NC; Michael (Susan) of Roseville, MN; and Jeffrey (Linda) of Bettendorf, IA. Jack and Shirley also have 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. An open house and card shower are planned from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, June 29th at the Crestwood Assisted Living facility at 219 E. Grace Street in Dodgeville.
