SBR splits with East, CP
The Dodgers beat Madison East 5-1 in the first game behind the complete game mound effort by Brian Simmons.
Simmons struck out six while on the hill with the only run off him unearned,
Aaron Dowling was 3x3 with a double for the Dodgers. Levi Nagel had a pair of hits and scored twice.
Dylan Shaffer and Jordan Olson also had hits and Olson drove in the fifth run.
The Dodgers went seven innings with defending champion Cross Plains and were tied 1-1 before the visitors scored three in the eighth for a 4-1 win.
Dowling struck out nine in a seven inning appearance. Jordan Olson fanned two in the eighth but fell victim to three unearned runs.
Nagel, Dowling, Austin Larson, Travis Hendrickson and Shaffer had Dodgeville's hits.
