LaVerne and Lois (Leix) Clifton of Montfort were married on July 11, 1953 at the United Methodist Church in Montfort, Wisconsin. They are the parents of four children, Joe (Alice) of Platteville, Jane (Ken) Lewis of Lancaster, Jim (Sarah) of Montfort and Julie (Jeff) McGuire of Highland. They have 13 grandchildren, Jason Clifton, Amy (Eric) Galdi, Jon (Jessica) Clifton, Kris Lewis, Lisa (Bob) Parrish, Dustin (Nikki Boebel) Lewis, Nick (Amanda Simpson) Lewis, Jacob (Hayley) Clifton, Joshua Clifton, Shawn (Sienna Murphy) McGuire, Shane, Robert and Riley McGuire. They also have 3 great-grandchildren, Trevor and Jenna Parrish and Candice Lewis. They will be celebrating on Sunday with a family gathering and fish fry.
