Dodgers handle Arrows, Redbirds
Then, on Tuesday night, they dismanled host Darlngton of the SWAL 87-50 in non-conference action.
Against the Arrows, they led only 32-27 at halftime, but an 18-6 bulge in quarter three got them over the hump.
"We definitely started slow and didn't take care of our defense like we wanted to," said Dodger coach Ryan Bohnsack. "In the second half we started to execute our defensive plan and held them to six points in the third."
Nick Crowley led the Dodger offense with 15 points with Nate Hotmann adding 12 and Evan Rohowetz hitting 10. In all, nine players scored.
Lancaster was paced by Kyle Jerrett and Nathan Tranel, both with nine points.
"Lancaster shot prety well in the first half. They came out ready to play," Bohnsack pointed out.
"It was a good way to end the first half of the conference season.We're in pretty good position with River Valley losing. We just have to take it one game at a time."

Against the Redbirds the Dodgers drained 11 three pointers and had five guys reach double figures.
They led 36-25 at halftime and stretched that to 60-38 by the close of three.
Crowley led all scorers with 22 with Hottmann adding 13, Dylan Shaffer hitting 12, Rohowetz coming up with 11 and Austin Larson chipping in 10.
Crowwley hit 13 in the second half and Shaffer scored all of his points in the final frame.
Darlington's Griffin Heinberg led their offense with 16 while Cole McDonald added 14.
"Tonight our defense and offense came out clicking," Bohnsack said. "We didn't take care of the ball the best in the second quarter, but the third we played well and came out and really extended our lead."
"We had a lot of people contributing tonight with several getting extended playing time. Everybody did something special to help the team whether it be defensive, offensive of an intangible.
