Key hit sends Knights over BE

Ryan Reilly came off the bench to pinch hit in the sixth inning Thursday and got the result he was hoping for.
His single up the middle sent in two runs that gave the Knights a 6-4 lead. They ended up to be the winning runs as the Knights turned back Black Earth 6-5 and picked up a key Night League win.
The win sent the Knights to a 4-2 Night League record and keeps them on track for a post season play-off berth.
Bobby Noland pitched five strong innings and Greg Brennum earned the win in relief. Noland tired in the fifth and gave up three runs, exiting with a 4-1 deficit.
But the Knights answered with five runs in the sixth. Brandon Weier singled to start the rally then Kristian Haag and Jay Lindner both walked. Ian Streeter singled in two runs and a bases loaded walk to Tony DeMuth tied the game.
Then Reilly stepped to the plate and drove in the eventual winning runs.
Brennum walked the first batter he faced, hit the second one then gave up a run on an infield out.  He got out of the inning then finished by retiring the side in order in the bottom of the seventh.
The Knights had five singles, one each by Haag, Lindner, Streeter, Reilly and Weier.
The Knights host Plain tonight in Night League play then face Wiota at home Sunday.
