Dodge Point SWANI teams finish 1st
The Seniors (age 50-60) won the eight team event with 77.5 points to runner-up Platteville's 69.5 with Darlngton third at 61. The other team totals were Prairie du Chien 54, Lena (IL) 53, Lancaster 48, Cole Acres (Cuba City) 47.5 and Hickory Grove (Fennimore) 22.5. Each team is comprised of six players with points being awarded each player in match play for hole wins and score.
Individual scores, points and finishes in their group were: 1. Dave Johnson 37-41-78 (6.5), John Dalton 34-35-69 (14.5 - 1st), Jim Harrington 40-36 (10.5 - 3rd), Denny Rundle 36-35-71 (16 - 1st), Jeff Koehler 37-33-70 (16 - 1st), Pete Botts 40-38-78 (14 - 2nd). Dalton also finished 2nd overall with his 69, one stroke off the winning total.
The Super Seniors (60+) totaled 49.5 points with their four-person team to edge Lena (IL) at 45 in the seven team event. The other team scores were: Cole Acres 36.5, Platteville 33, Darlington 25, Lancaster 22 and Hickory Grove 13.
Dodge Point's Charlie O'Rourke fired a 72 (36-36) and was medalist on the day besides getting 13.5 team points. Bill Fisher had 39-41 for 80 and 10 points while Terry Tredinnick gained 13.5 points for first in his group with 36-38-74 and Dale Chellevold fired 39-38-77 for 12.5 points and first in his group.
