Iowa-Grant/Highland's Jenks goes to state
Jenks won the right to compete in the prestigious event when he was the third individual qualifier from the Boscobel Secitonal last Saturday.
Jenks posted a time of 17:30 to finish ninth in the race.
Defending D3 state champion Tyson Miehe, Darlington junior, won in 16:32, a long way ahead of runner-up freshman Dakota Kauf-fman of Boscobel's 17:03.
Also defending D3 state champion Darlington won the race with 35 points to SWAL foe Boscobel's 44 - in the two team race.

After Jenks finished, then came sophomore Ethan Cracken 30th in 19:03, senior Shaun Soman 41st in 19:12, senior Cody Wall 56h in 19:58, senior Kyle Bomkamp 59th in 20:01, junior Alex Pillow 60th in 20:01 and sophomore Micah Bomkamp 64th in 20:07.
Girls compete with five
You can run seven on a team, but the I-G/H girls team ran a little shorthanded with only five runners.
They were led by senior Grace Enloe's 35th in 18:20. Then came sophomore Shania Sarbacker 56th in 19:35, junior Chakayla Stanek 67th in 20:01, freshman Caitlin Fowell 77th in 20:45 and sophomore Laura Cieslak 94th in 23:24.
Darlington, looking to improve on a third place finish at state last year, topped Poynette handily at 35-95 to win the team: Boscobel 98, Lancaster 111, Hillsboro 135, Bellebille 240, St. Ambrose Academy 248, Riverdeale 253, Pardeeville 257, Rio/Fall River 296, Parkview 300, Pecatonica/Argyle 313, North Crawford 316, Madison Country Day School 321, Iowa-Grant/Highland 329, Fennimore 379.
