Dodge-Point cross country teams dominate

Both the Dodgeville-Mineral Point girls and boys cross country teams captured the Large Schools top spot in the Dick McKichan Platteville Invitational Saturday.
"It was a great day at the Platteville Invite and the Dodge-Point runners performed very well," said Dodge-Point coach Denny McGraw. "This is the final large invite before conference and it helps to see how we are running against some of the best. It was exciting for all the teams to bring home a trophy. The fan support was tremendous at this meet, and the runners responded with one of the best efforts of the year so far."
The girls had all five runners finished in the top 15 and won easily scoring 30 points to runner-up Madison Edgewood's 63.

Mairin Cahill and Brittany Rhyner both ran in the low 15s which ensured such a lop-sided victory for the varsity girls. Mary Hanson also broke 16 minutes, which was a huge move for her and the team.
