Clarson receives post-season honors

Vanessa Clarson learned last week that all of her hard work on the volleyball court for Madison College did not go unnoticed.
The 5-foot-1 freshman defensive specialist from River Valley High School was named to the NJCAA Region IV all-region and N4C first team all-conference teams, respectively.
Clarson helped lead the WolfPack to a 24-5 record and a share of the N4C conference title.
She lived up to her position's name by recording a team-high 532 digs in 100 sets for a 5.32 digs per set average.
The former Blackhawk recorded 229 of her digs during N4C play for 4.87 digs per set.
Her 229 digs during the N4C season were tops in the conference by a long shot, with the next closest N4C player registering 170.
Clarson's 45 digs was her top performance this season overall while posting 29 during an N4C match for her best effort against conference foes.
Additionally, she pitched in on offensive with 33 service aces; 16 in conference matches.
