Above, you'll see a shot of some of the crowd at Iowa-Grant celebrating one of their touchdowns!

I don't know about some drivers. Oh.....and this was a fellow Wisconsin driver! I was coming out of Walmart Sunday and stopped to turn left onto Leffler Street and the person behind me pulled almost alongside of me to turn left too. The driver let me go first and then followed me to the 4 lanes at the Best Western corner. They then followed me to the stoplights at the 18/151/23 corner by McDonald's. I pulled into the left turn lane and the other vehicle came up beside me in the "straight ahead" lane. I turned left on the signal, but the other vehicle didn't go straight ahead - instead it made the same left turn I did. I guess the driver must've spotted the Kwik Trip too late to get into the proper lane as it turned into that store as I went merrily on my way. All of the time it's good to pay close attention to what drivers are doing around you!

Brother Patrick became a cook again over the weekend - making up a pot of chili here at the office. We had some tomatoes given us by Jeanie Lewis and some onions by Sonny Buckingham, so all I had to do was come up with the rest! I sampled it Sunday after a day of simmering - not too bad for a town this size!

The Dodgeville high School musical was last weekend. I had a chance to see the first part of it - "Footloose" - and it was very entertaining. There are some very good singing voices in the high school. Congratulations to all who performed and/or had a part in the production! Oh to have an auditorium at the high school, though!

Well, the Green Bay Packers "limped" to a win Sunday over the Arizona Cardinals. I say limped because they had more injuries - to Jordy Nelson (receiver), Bryan Bulaga (offensive lineman) and Clay Matthews (linebacker) - to go along with several other key injuries that occurred earlier in the season, two being to probably their top receiver in Brian Jennings and their top defensive back in Charles Woodson. Not too many teams could survive that kind of decimation, but somehow the Packers have. Their depth has prevailed and as the TV announcers said Sunday - "It's a tribute to just how great this organization is!" The Pack won't be playing next week due to a bye, so hopefully some of those injuries will heal and players will return for the rest of the season!

The foursome (myself, Terry, Dewey and Bob) had breakfast at Bob's BBQ place (former Papa's at the Courthouse Inn) Saturday morning. Bob and his crew did a nice job and the food was good with plenty of it being served!

I haven't mentioned my late buddy and his place lately and I probably should since quite a few people tell me they miss my comments. I usually reply to them that Mike (Not So Quality Bakery) probably doesn't miss them and he's up there watching every move I make and probably laughing out loud seeing me slow down and usually making the wrong move!
