Dodgeville's girls softball team got a surprise Tuesday and a real scramble followed.
The Lady Dodgers were informed they are now the winners of the WIAA Division 2 Regional game with Platteville as the Hillwomen used an ineligible player.
So it is the Dodgers who advance today and will travel to Prairie du Chien for the Regional semi-final.
"It is an extra game at least," said coach Gene Van Dyck, adding the girls are glad to get the chance.
Game time is 5 pm in Prairie.
Other games today find Potosi at Highland and Iowa-Grant at Lancaster for 5 p.m. contests.
On the baseball side, Belmont is at Barneveld, Wauzeka-Steuben is at Highland and Lancaster is at Mineral Point.
