Eagles roll over Black Hawk

Barneveld jumped off to a 7-1 lead and went on to trip Black Hawk 17-1 in a Six Rivers baseball game Monday.
The Eagles banged out 13 hits in earning the win. Sawyer Lee worked the first four innings and Dustin Hodgson came on in the fifth to strike out the side.
Lee gave up five hits, fanned three and walked one.
Hodgson also was a force at the plate with a 2x2 day that featured two runs scored and an rbi.
Freshman Brycen Sorenson was also 2x3, scored once and drove in a run.
Tyler Owens went 3x3 for the Eagles and knocked in four runs.
Cole Breuer and Colton Straubhaar both had doubles with Straubhaar's doing its damage in the first.
The Eagles scored seven in the first, three in the second, four in the third and three in the fourth.
"It is not easy to play games that are basically over in the second inning," said Barneveld coach Lance Schmitz. "We are a young team but we have a talented group."
