Tonight's the night for Eagles, Warriors

Tonight will determine which team goes on and which team goes home.
Tonight will determine which team wins the third match-up after they split during the regular season.
Tonight will determine who survives what is sure to be one of the premier battles in the history of WIAA Division 5 girls basketball.
Barneveld, a 58-31 winner over Fall Creek Saturday will meet Black Hawk, who disposed of Randolph 43-30 the same night, at Monroe High School. The Golden Eagles are the number two seed while Black Hawk claimed number one.
Both teams won on their home court when they met during the Six Rivers East Conference season. Tonight will decide who wins the series 2-1 and who has a shot at a berth in the WIAA State Tournament.
Game time is 7 p.m.
Against Fall River it was hard to determine which phase of the game the Eagles were most dominate.
They made 24 shots in 46 tries for a torrid 52%, rolled to a 19-5 first quarter lead and were never threatened.
The Golden Eagles held three Pirates who average double figures to single digit scoring. Hailey Koch had nine, well below her 21 point average Emma Waterworth had seven, a distance from her average of 18. Senior 6-2 center Brianna Sukenik finished with five, seven below her average.
Then came the rebounding. The Eagles outboarded the taller Pirates 29-18 with freshman Rachel Slaney and senior Shelby Meyer both picking up seven.
The Eagles also did a better job taking care of the basketball with 10 turnovers to Fall Creek's 14.
Once freshman post Slaney stopped fouling she was able to continue putting up impressive numbers and led the Eagles with 21 points. She had four points in the first half while spending much of it sitting with two fouls then broke loose the second half with 17.
Madi Laube and Hailey Cannoy both drained a pair of three pointers with Laube finishing with 14 points. Cannoy contributed eight.
"The key was containing their scorers," Barneveld coach Jim Myers said. "We held their leaders to single digits. But, it also helped that our shots were going in. It always works better when the ball goes into the basket."
Myers was impressed with how the Eagles took care of the basketball.
"And, we had some key contributions off the bench," he added. "Samantha Evans came in and hit a nice shot while giving a solid effort. McKenzie Sporle gave us good minutes and Hailey Kleppe was solid again tonight for us."
"Our seniors also were in it the entire game," Myers said. "They did a nice job scoring."
"Our defense was very good and keyed our offense," Myers said.
Now comes the third game of the season with the Lady Warriors.
"We will have to change some things up from the last time we met," Myers said. "It will be a battle."
