Area baseball accomplishments were recognized this past week when the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association named its all-district and all-state teams.
Sophomore catcher Carson Carmody was a first team all-district selection for the Barneveld Golden Eagles. He was also named third team all-state.
Teammate Devon Schult received a second team all-district outfield berth. Mineral Point's Brady Tibbits was also selected second team all-district as an outfielder.
River Valley junior Carter Hoffman was named to the second team all-district as an infielder.
Honorable mention all-district went to River Valley's Travis Jacobson and Mineral Point's Grant Myers, both senior infielders.
Named to the all-academic team were James Brey, Hoffman, Clay Nelson and Brandon Hogan from River Valley along with Tibbits, Myers, Logan Benish and Dakota Poad from Mineral Point.
