The Tower Junction team of Tim Hoffman, Tim Woods, Randy Hoffman and Jeff Simmons won the Eighteenth Annual Top Four Challenge Bowling Tournament, held recently at Country Side Lanes. The tournament, which is sponsored by the Southwest Wisconsin Bowling Association, brings together the top four average bowlers from JB's Bowling Green of Spring Green, Country Side Lanes, Dodger Bowl, Midway Lanes, Ranch House Lanes and Tower Junction Lanes.
In the head-to-head five game team format, Tower Junction Lanes scored 29 1/2 points to edge out Ranch House Lanes (Jay Johnson, Gary Simmons, Matt Anderson and Adam Meyers) with 26 1/2 points.
Five-game individual series scores for the winning team were: Tim Hoffman 965, Tim Woods 982, Randy Hoffman 1145 and Jeff Simmons 1078.
Randy Hoffman bowled the first 299 game in the eighteen year history of the tournament, leaving the ten pin on the last ball in game three against Dodger Bowl. Matt Anderson bowled the second high game of 279, followed by a 265 by Gary Simmons. Randy Hoffman rolled the high series of the tournament followed by Matt Anderson (1108) and Jay Johnson (1081).
The winning team receives a traveling plaque and Top Four Challenge jackets.
