12 Dodgers score in win over Lancaster
"Team defense was our strongest point tonight," said Dodgeville coach Ryan Bohnsack. "Lancaster is dealing with some internal issues right now. They will be a different team when we go there later on."
Jake Bechen scored 11 of his game-high 18 points in that first quarter pretty much having his way with the Arrow defense.
The Dodgers played their reserves a often in the contest and held their first quarter lead, doubling up the Arrows 24-12 by halftime.
They went on an 18-4 scoring binge in the third frame, pretty much putting the game away by the end of three with a 42-16 lead.
Nick Crowley was the other Dodger to hit double figures as he hit 14. In all, 12 of the 13 Dodgers scored on the night prompting Bohnsack to say: "It was great to have 12 guys score tonight and to have five score in the first half."
In looking at any shortcoming on the night, Bohnsack said, "We still need to box out better in rebounding and also value the ball more."
Lancaster's Hunter Budack scored 13 points to lead his team.
They were playing without 6'4" senior Justin Hore and another 6'4" senior, Wesley Schnepper, played sparingly.
