Wayne and Jean Christen of rural Hollandale will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on December 29, 2012. They were married at Hollandale Lutheran Church on December 29, 1962.
They have three daughters; Deb Hendrickson of Blanchardville, Toni (Rob) McMillan of Belleville, and Dawn (Stacey) Schmitz of Mineral Point. Wayne and Jean have nine grandchildren; Paige and Preston Hendrickson, Lucas and Tiffany Schade, Kayla (Logan) Senf, John and Dana Schmitz, and Cassie and Cody McMillan, and have been blessed with six great grandchildren; Melonie, Baylee, Aliyah, Leyton, Kellan, and Wesley.
Wayne and Jean have farmed for most of their married lives in the Hollandale area. They enjoy spending their leisure time golfing, and playing cards, bags, and board games with the family.
They plan on celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary having dinner with their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren on Saturday, December 29th at Flannerys in New Glaurs.
