Marvel and Barbara (Vivian) Nelson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary August 11, with an open house at Country Side Lanes, rural Hollandale, from 4-9 p.m. The couple requests no gifts, but would appreciate non-perishable food for the Pecatonica Food Pantry or donations to the Hollandale Library.
They have four sons, Allan (Sandra), Jim, Duane and Steven. They had one daughter, Diane, deceased and one grandchild, J. Tyler Nelson.
