Little Cards win at Little Wrigley Field
The game was the second meeting of the two squads and the Wisconsin team won both games.
Keene had a grand slam home run and ended up with a five rbi day as he went 3x5. He is he son of Brett and Kelly (Reilly) Keene, Waunakee.
Roh, son of Shelly Roh and Brian Roh, Dodgeville, was on base five times with three hits.
Schmitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lance Schmitz, led off for the Cards had had three hits.
Keene and Roh split time in the outfield. Schmitz played second base.
In a home run derby following the game Keene won the nine and under division with three blasts out of the park.
The Wisconsin team is coached by Andy Cowley and sponsored by Steve Schmitt of the Shoe Box, Rookies and Madison Mallards.
Schmitt was honored prior to the game and threw out a first pitch.
The games are annual affairs between the two eight year old teams.
