Dodgers use 11 hits to claim win
Austin Larson and Nick Crowley combined to pitch the win with the decision going to Larson, a sophomore left hander. He struck out two in four innings of work, walked four and gave up an unearned run.
Crowley worked the final three frames, striking out five and giving up four hits along with two unearned runs.
Crowley led the offense with a 3x4 day at the plate and Larson was 2x3. Larson drove in three runs as he doubled in two and singled in one more. Crowley knocked in one run.
Travis Hendrickson doubled for the Dodgers while Brian Simmons had an rbi single with Kristian Haag, Brett Binsfeld and Dylan Shaffer all getting singles.
Larson drove in two runs and Simmons one in a three run third. A wild pitch plated Binsfeld in the fourth after he walked, advanced on a walk and a grounder then capitalized on the ball past the catcher.
Larson and Crowley drove in runs in a three run sixth.
Jared Ingalls was 2x4 to lead Riverdale's eight hit attack.
Alex Meister had a double in the seventh to help a two run rally by the Chieftains.
The Dodgers are at Platteville Thursday and host River Valley Friday.
