Fennimore claims 6-1 win over Dodgers
When it came to pitching, the Golden Eagles had that too, thanks to Evan Friesen.
Streeter and Hunt both came up with three hits and combined to drive in four runs in a 6-1 win by the Eagles in Monday's non-conference game.
Streeter, who scored three times, doubled in a run in the sixth.
Hunt launched a two run home run in the third inning and added an rbi single in the sixth.
Friesen turned in a complete game win, striking out 12 and walking one. He gave up three Dodgeville hits.
Hunt's blast came in the third and gave the Eagles a 3-0 lead. They added three more in the fifth thanks to a couple wind blown fly balls and capped it with two in the sixth.
The Dodgers got their first hit in the third inning when starting pitcher Jasper Meeker stroked a line drive to center. Brian Simmons and Travis Hendrickson had back to back singles in the fifth. Hendrickson's coming on a legged out slow roller past the mound.
Meeker went the first four innings and struck out six. He walked three, gave up eight hits and four runs, three earned.
Austin Larson finished for the Dodgers. He gave up two runs in the final two innings, fanned four, walked one and gave up three hits.
The Dodgers host Platteville Thursday (today) and travel to River Valley Friday to open SWC play.
