Back to school physical and emotional safety

It is back to school time and according to Facebook, many families are busy getting ready for that first day.
It never is said enough about safety when driving in school zones. The first day of school is filled with excitement, so make sure you know where the walkers are when driving to school as a student, staff member or a parent dropping off. Give yourself plenty of time and enjoy the moment.
It is never said enough to make sure your student knows that bullying is never the right thing to do. It is hard enough growing up in today's world with the problems surrounding parents making ends meet and working hard to support the family to miss out when it comes to listening closely to kids.
Take time each day to ask how the day went, how the classes are going and read from what is said if the child feels safe.
Traffic safety is necessary to protect students from physical harm.
Stopping bullying in its tracks is necessary to protect the students from fear and emotional scars.
Listening is the best way to prevent this.
