A couple community things
By J. Patrick Reilly-preilly@thedodgevillechronicle.com
The first publication was good and it gave us an opportunity to get our feet wet, so to speak, in the process of involving our readers and our businesses in our print edition. The first year saw a good amount of votes.
The second year was different. The votes escalated and there were more and more businesses, etc. mentioned. We got a good idea of who or where are the best and a good idea of where people go for their personal shopping, what they do in their free time and what they do for entertainment.
Our area has some very great things available and that speaks well for the present and the future.
So, thanks for voting and caring about the businesses, groups and people who serve you.
And, thanks for letting us bring it to you both in print and on our web page.

Tuesday is voting day in the Dodgeville school district. The school board is proposing a building project that will take care of needs at the elementary school, which is at least 100 students over capacity.
The key thing for voters to remember is that there will be no tax increase. The bond on the middle school is being retired and the same funds can be used to handle the elementary school project. The only way taxes will change on your property by approving the project is if your property becomes more valuable.
The key thing to remember is the board is putting the project out there as what they consider the best for the future of the district. They want to see what you think and what you think will determine the direction the board will have to go.
So, take time Tuesday to vote.
