Kitelinger gets second no-hitter for Eagles

Barneveld senior pitcher Jeremy Kitelinger turned in his second no-hitter of the season Monday in a 4-1 Six Rivers East win over Albany.
Kitelinger fanned 11 and walked only two in fashioning his gem. The only run the Comets managed came in the sixth. After a walk the pick-off attempt missed the mark. A dropped fly ball then let the lone Albany run score.
Cody Carmody was 3x3 and scored a run in the first.
Kitelinger was 2x3 and drove in a run.
Devon Schult doubled in the third.
Travis Fenton executed a safety squeeze in the third.
Beau Thompson singled to drive in a run in the first.
Cody Schultz took the loss for the Comets. He fanned four, walked two and surrendered three earned runs.
"Albany has two good pitchers but they don't give them many runs," said Eagles coach Lance Schmitz.
