Local mare is champ
The mare is owned by Kent Mayfield and Jack Ford, Second Wind, Dodgeville. Ford and May-field are lifetime members of The Pyramid Society, which sponsors this annual event. Mayfield is a member of the Board of Directors and coordinates the Society's national program of education, including seminars, clinics, lectureships and the widely-acclaimed National Egyptian Arabian Breed-ers conference annually.
The Pyramid Society's Egyptian Event is internationally known for the tough competition, big payouts, educational opportunities and fellowship among breeders worldwide. With the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park as the setting, this year's Egyptian Event drew horses from Europe, Australia, Egypt and the emirates and kingdoms of the Mid-dle East.
The Pyramid Society is an organization of breeders, founded in 1969, devoted to the preservation, perpetuation and promotion of the Straight Egyptian Arabian horse and its heritage.
