Knights rally in 10th for Night League win
Mark Ludwig started the eraser of the 3-3 tie with a lead off single and took second and third on wild pitches. Tony DeMuth and Brandon Weier both walked and Jacob Pluemer sent in Ludwig with an unsuccessful fielders choice. After Greg Brennum walked, bases on balls to Tanner Solberg and Danny Sullivan made it 6-3.
The Knights scored their first run in the third when Tony DeMuth singled, advanced on a walk to Brandon Weier and took third on a sac bunt by Pluemer. Brad Simmons then had a sac fly to left to send in DeMuth.
They added two more in the fourth when Tyler Hardyman singled and Eric Rohowetz walked before Ryan Reilly doubled off the fence in deep center.
Simmons worked four innings for the Knights. He fanned two, walked one, gave up one hit and one run.
Brennum went the next three, striking out two, walking two and surrendering three hits. He gave up two runs, one earned.
Pluemer finished and shut out the Reds over the final three innings. He fanned one, walked three and gave up one hit.
Ludwig was 2x4 for the Knights while Hardyman, Reilly and DeMuth had one hit.
The Knights head to Plain Friday for their next Night League test.
