Thoughts for today
The Christmas season---note I said Christmas.
It is the time of year for magical happenings. There are many groups helping make sure those less fortunate have a Merry Christmas. There are toy collections, Christmas giving trees, food collection sites, Santa Cop and just about anything that someone can think up to make the season happier.
You are invited and encouraged to participate.
The gift that costs nothing---that would be your smile. How many times have you walked past someone and not acknowledged them? You never know what burden someone else is carrying so why not just say hello and smile? It is never wrong.
Ryan Braun--another fallen star. Guilty or not, there is still roid use among star athletes. I blame the high salaries and the quest for greater numbers to obtain more money for your talents. Ever wonder why I like youth and amateur baseball so much?
I grew up in an era where Major League baseball was played for low pay and a lot of fun. Now they take the money and run.
Hey, I even remember when autographs were free.
