Dodgeville wrestlers finished seventh in the 16-team 25th Annual Black Hawk Invitational Saturday.
Austin DeVoss, at 113 lbs., took his team's top spot with a third place finish.
In a runaway, perennial power Merrill won the team championship with 310 points to runner-up Stoughton's 247.5.
The rest of the team scores were: Westfield 186, Mount Horeb/Barne-veld 175.5, Middleton 174, Bel-mont/Platteville 112, Dodgeville 104, Darlington 88, Parkview 62.5, Kenosha St. Joseph 53, River Ridge 40, Pecatonica/Argyle 39, Black Hawk 37, Madison East 33, Burlington Catholic Central 24 and Madison Memorial 14.5.

Lose to Valley in opener
Dodgeville wrestlers won only one wrestled match in their season opener Friday night against neighboring River Valley in a 52-15 SWC loss.
Clay DiCiaula got a takedown just before the final horn sounded to win 2-1 at 195 lbs.
River Valley forfeited three matches and the Dodgers four.
"We focus on our kids to come out and wrestle hard and compete," said River Valley coach Jaime Hegland. "I see the fight i our team and they practice hard. however, what you see is what you get - we're short in numbers."
Dodger assistant coach Chad Hahn said, "Our conditioning was a little suspect tonight. River Valley is very solid in the middle weights and we showed our youth. We saw some things we have to work on."
