If you are reading this you have no doubt seen extensive coverage of the recently completed Iowa County Fair.

You can see by the pictures that many positive things happen at the fair. You can also see that agriculture in this area is alive and well.

The fair is a great teacher for our youth. They learn the same things they get in the classrooms, on the athletic fields and in the gymnasiums. They learn preparation and the hard work that goes with it. They learn to be responsible. They learn that there is good sportsmanship in exhibiting their livestock and projects as much as there is when two teams compete.

The pictures show other things. They show people having fun be at on the midway, in the fair house, the race track or at the many forms of wholesome entertainment the fair offers.

The Iowa County Fairgrounds is a good place to be.

And, take time to read through the results. See the many names of the exhibitors who are your neighbors, your customers and perhaps good friends with your children.

For those of you who attended the fair, congratulations. You took part in one of the true adventures in American history.
