Becky Thomas and Scott Michel were married on July 24 at Becky's great-uncle's farm near Calamine. Their parents are Steve and Patti Thomas of Mineral Point and Mark and Jill Michel of Waupaca.

The bride wore her mother's wedding gown, her grandmother's bracelet and her great-grandmother's necklace. She was escorted along the pines by her father and mother. Becky and Scott were married under a grapevine arbor made by her father. Becky's bouquet was queen anne's lace and all the flowers were freshly cut that morning. The reception was held under a tent on the lawn and a barn dance following the reception was en-joyed by all.

Becky and Scott both graduated from UW-Oshkosh. Becky has degrees in English and Journalism and Scott recently earned his master's degree in Creative Writing from Eastern Washington University.

The couple now live at 2115 West 1st Avenue, Apt. 5, Spokane, WA, 99201, tallgirlwrites@gmail.com. Becky is a reporter for the Cheney Free Press in Cheney, Washington and Scott is working for Fastenal in Spokane.
