Christina Soman of Stevens Point and Brian Schmick of Wisconsin Rapids are engaged to be married.

She is the daughter of Daniel and Kathryn Soman of Livingston. His parents are Lawrence and Barbara Schmick of Wisconsin Rapids.

The bride-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Greenville College with a Bachelors in Education and a 2006 graduate of UW-La Crosse with a Masters in Education. She is employed at Tri-County Area School District as an elementary teacher.

Her fiance is a 1999 graduate of Marquette University with a Bach-elors in Finance and a 2002 graduate of Marquette University with a Masters in Business Administration. He is employed at RoomPro Technologies/Projection Guys as the Director of Finance and Ac-counting.
